Why Partnership?

Great playtimes don't happen because of one intervention.

They happen when staff, children, systems, leadership and culture all work together. That is why we do not simply deliver training. We build long-term partnerships with schools.

Why not just buy playground equipment?

Equipment without structure, training and engagement strategies rarely changes behaviour. Within weeks it is broken, ignored or monopolised by the same children. Equipment is part of the answer — not the whole answer.

Why not just send staff on training?

A one-day course cannot change a playground culture. Staff need coaching in the moment, alongside children, in their own school context. Training is the start — not the solution.

Why not just introduce Play Leaders?

Play Leaders without systems, adult support and a whole-school approach quickly lose confidence and impact. Leadership works when it is embedded into something bigger.

Sustainable change comes from bringing all the pieces together.

Staff. Children. Systems. Leadership. Culture. All working together — over time.

Our Approach

In Person. Hands On. In School.

Everything we do happens in your school, with your children and your staff. Nothing is delivered digitally, remotely or through a workbook. We spend full school days alongside your team — working, modelling and building something real together.

🏫

Full School Days

Every visit is a full school day. We are there from the start of the day, through lunchtime and into the afternoon — observing, working with children and supporting staff in real time.

🎮

Play Lessons

We teach children how to play. Through structured, purposeful play lessons — something rarely taught in schools — children learn the rules of games, how to include others, how to manage conflict and how to lead. These sessions are delivered directly by us, in school, with your children.

🎤

Assemblies

We can lead whole-school or year group assemblies to launch the programme, introduce play values, celebrate play leaders and embed a shared language around playtime across the school.

👩‍🏫

Staff Alongside, Not Just Trained

We do not just deliver a training session and leave. We work alongside lunchtime staff during actual lunchtimes — modelling strategies, coaching in the moment and building their confidence through doing, not just listening.

🗓️

Flexible Structure

The programme structure is a guide, not a rigid prescription. Some schools want to prioritise certain areas in the first term — behaviour, SEND inclusion, play leadership. We work with you to sequence visits in a way that fits your school's most pressing needs.

🌧️

Wet Play Provision

We look at what happens when it rains. Wet play is often an afterthought — a DVD, free time or chaos. We help schools build a purposeful, calm and engaging wet play offer that works for children and staff, with activities, resources and clear expectations.

No two schools are the same.

The programme structure gives you a clear framework, but we always start by listening. If your school needs to tackle behaviour in the first term, we prioritise that. If inclusion is the urgent need, we start there. The structure serves the school — not the other way around.

Resources & Equipment

The Right Resources. At the Right Price.

We know school budgets are tight. That is why we do not just tell you what to buy and leave you to it — we use our specialist contacts to source purposeful, cost-effective resources that are tailored to your school's specific needs.

🎯

Tailored to Your School

We do not recommend off-the-shelf packages. Every resource recommendation is based on what we have seen in your school — your spaces, your children, your priorities. Nothing generic.

🤝

Specialist Contacts

We work with a network of trusted suppliers who understand school play provision. This means you get access to quality resources that are purposeful, durable and appropriate — not just the cheapest option on a catalogue.

💷

Cost-Effective Sourcing

We help schools save as much as possible. By knowing exactly what works and what does not, we prevent costly mistakes — no wasted spend on equipment that ends up in a cupboard after a week.

We make every pound count.

From small activity packs to full playground resource kits, we advise on what to buy, where to get it and how to use it — so schools invest confidently and children benefit immediately.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Our programmes are delivered across a full academic year. This gives schools the time to embed changes properly rather than rushing through a one-off intervention. Most schools begin to notice a difference within the first term.

Absolutely. We have worked in schools of all sizes — from small rural primaries with mixed-age classes to large urban schools with 600+ pupils. The programme is adapted to your school's context, not the other way around.

SEND inclusion is central to everything we do, not an add-on. Our Development and Transformation Partnerships include a dedicated SEND inclusion deep dive session. Every recommendation we make considers the full range of needs in your school.

No. Some of the most effective playground improvements cost very little. We help schools make the most of what they already have before recommending anything new. When we do suggest equipment, we source it cost-effectively through our specialist contacts.

Yes. We plan visits in advance and work around your school's calendar — SATS, trips, inspections, inset days. We are flexible and understand that schools are busy places.

Many schools notice a difference after the first visit — particularly in staff confidence and the structure of lunchtime. Deeper cultural change takes longer, which is exactly why our programmes run across a full year.

All partnerships include email support between visits. Development and Transformation Partnerships include priority support, regular check-ins, resource updates and implementation advice. You are never left to figure things out alone.
